Project: StormStrong® Telecommunication Poles |
Product: 10 Inch StormStrong Pultruded Poles
Known as the Mile Square City, Hoboken, New Jersey is a hub for arts and culture. In 2019 the waterfront city’s representatives told Verizon that they wanted telecommunication poles that were attractive and made from material other than wood. The wireless carrier identified CCG’s Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) StormStrong® telecommunication poles which were lightweight and corrosion-resistance yet architecturally attractive. Verizon took a sample composite pole to a town meeting. Community leaders were enthusiastic about StormStrong®’s cosmetic appearance and approved its use. Compliant with ADA requirements, StormStrong® provided a low maintenance option with a small footprint. Verizon installed approximately 40 FRP telecommunication poles with a diameter of 10 in. and heights of 40 ft. and 45 ft.
