    Fiberglass Reinforced Polymer (FRP) Trusses

FRP Trusses offer strength and rigidity due to their fiber reinforced design. Our FRP profiles exhibit unique characteristics that provide advantages over traditional materials such as steel, wood and concrete.

    FRP Composite Truss Applications

CCG designs and manufactures FRP trusses for different building applications. Our truss systems are specifically designed to exist above wet and corrosive environments such as zoos, wildlife parks, aquariums, fish hatcheries, climate controlled greenhouses and more.  Our trusses are great for roof systems, floor systems, canopies and custom applications.

    FRP Truss Roofing Systems

Our roofing systems are lightweight FRP structures made from our fiberglass beam trusses and can be lined with our FRP decking. The lightweight nature of our FRP trusses make for a fast installation process. Each profile member can be assembled on site, or a small crane can be used to lift the preassembled structure into place. Additionally, FRP is a long-term cost effective alternative to stainless steel, since FRP will not rust or corrode over time.

    FRP Truss Canopies

Canopy systems benefit from using FRP profiles in the design, especially in corrosive settings. Where concrete tends to spall and steel tends to rust, FRP’s corrosion resistance make for a very low maintenance canopy. If aesthetics is important to your canopy setup, specific colors can be chosen to match the surrounding environment. We offer FRP decking and grating as flooring options to add to the canopy. Grating will allow more light to shine into the canopy system.

    Custom FRP Covers

When it comes to issues with soil conditions and seismic conditions, often times, steel is not ideal for a roof cover die to its weight. Since FRP offers a lightweight alternative with flexibility (low modulus of elasticity) and bolted connections, more people have been choosing FRP structures since they work very well under seismic conditions. Our custom FRP covers can be designed to satisfy the seismic criteria necessary for you project and can be easily installed with light construction equipment.
