Small Cell Tower Application

For this microcell tower application, 30 octagonal FRP poles - each 10 inches in diameter, were placed in Big Pine Keys. This material is ideal for this type of coastal region because it will not rust, rot, or corrode like legacy power grid pole materials. The poles were tested per ASTM D1036. They are ANSI 05.1 rated and coated with a UV protective material that meets the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AMMA) 623 standard. CCG’s poles will maintain most if not all of their design strength for 80 years or more and perform as designed and as expected during 130mph wind gusts sustained during Category 5 Hurricane Irma.
