At Creative, we design and manufacture T&D poles, crossarms, light poles, smart poles, small cell 5G poles and telecom poles. Our products are engineered for various utility infrastructure applications including poles for: transmission, distribution, telecommunications, camera, roadway/street lighting and municipal lighting. Compared to those made from traditional materials (e.g. wood / steel / concrete) they offer better resiliency and easier maintenance, both of which make for a superior long-term investment for your lighting, telecom or utility grid.
Due to its many advantages, composites find use as a building material in many structural applications. At Creative Composites Group, we provide the following composite utility product solutions:
FireStrong utility poles maintain their structural integrity after a fire, so they can be kept in service. In addition, the integration of an irreversible temperature monitoring system helps utility workers determine whether pole strength retention was successful.
Creative's StormStrong composite alley arms are designed for use on StormStrong utility poles, as well as for concrete, steel and wood utility poles. Our alley arms have high dielectric strength, contain no hazardous chemicals or pesticides and will not rot or succumb to woodpeckers or termites.
Our StormStrong cross arms are engineered for high reliability. They are RUS approved and National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) compliant. Our deadend crossarms are available in 3-5/8” x 4-5/8” and 4” x 6” rectangular sections, while our tangent crossarms are available in 3-1/2” x 4-1/2”, 3-5/8” x 4-5/8”, and 4” x 6” rectangular cross-sections.
StormStrong pultruded composite distribution poles are custom designed and manufactured to our customers’ unique strength and stiffness requirements. Our FRP distribution poles are available in Classes 1 to 10 and up to 80 feet in length, and FRP transmission poles from Class 1 through H6, in a variety of lengths. All StormStrong products are classified as ANSI 05.1 wood equivalent poles and recognized as having the same reliability as steel poles.
We manufacture direct burial light poles for National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) standard electrical boxes. Our StormStrong light poles are manufactured from a toughened polyester resin reinforced with high-strength electrical-grade fiberglass. They can be backfilled with concrete, pole set foam, or gravel. Surface-mounted National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) approved break away and standard bases are available for customers who need surface-mounted poles.
Composite telecom and data poles are well suited for stormy coastal regions as well as others, such as the Midwest and Northeast which use deicing salts in the winter. StormStrong telecommunications poles are manufactured with features including hand holes and adaptors for National Electrical Manufacturer Association (NEMA) standard electrical boxes. The National Electric Safety Code (NESC 2012) has recognized FRP composite poles as having exactly the same reliability as steel poles.
Our pultruded composite transmission poles are custom fabricated to meet your strength and stiffness requirements. Our transmission poles range from Class 10 through 1, up to 80 feet in length, as well as from class 1 through H6, in various lengths. They are classified as ANSI O5.1 wood equivalent poles and are recognized by the National Electric Safety Code (NESC 2012) as having the same reliability as steel poles.
