Overview: Michigan City’s draw bridge over Lake Michigan was no longer functional after concrete and steel failed under extremely cold temperatures, causing the blocking on the boats from Trail Creek. The community needed an emergency fix, and new FRP deck panels were put in place on the bridge within a month.
