Overview: NJ Route 147 runs along the southeastern shore of New Jersey. Deteriorating wooden fender systems were replaced with FRP fenders that can also handle higher energy requirements. Forty-four 76-foot x 24-inch OD piles were used for the continuous fender and ten 81-foot by 36-inch OD piles were used as dolphins for high-impact zones.
