Overview: In an effort to reduce traffic congestion and parking problems in the city of Lisbon, Portugal, this existing four-lane, 4,600 foot bridge was expanded to include two rail tracks beneath the highway. The project uses approximately 100,000 square feet of Supergrate Pultruded Grating and Pultex FRP Structurals. The finished structure reduces the weight on the bridge and eliminates maintenance.
