Overview: The Margate Bridge foundation fendering system redirects boats and protects the bridge foundation from impact damage in the event a boat or barge goes off course from the navigational channel. Creative Pultrusions supplied a total of 52 Superpiles measuring 80-feet long by 12-inches in diameter. The composite piles were driven to depth, drilled, and fabricated with wood and poly walers. Both the energy-absorbing and corrosion-resistant characteristics of Supurtuf SUPERPILE makes it the ideal material for bridge fender applications.
