Overview: A complete system of fiberglass composite sheet pile, waler, cap, tie rod and deadman was used for long-term performance on this project. Other seawall products were rejected due to poor long term performance and durability. Soil conditions were rocky, sandy clay. Exposure is approximately 9 feet.
Approximately 400 linear feet of the seawall was constructed using SUPERLOC Series 1560 Fiberglass Composite Sheet Pile, SuperWale Fiberglass Waler, Light SuperCap Top Cap, and SuperRod/Dome Nut Fiberglass Tie Rod System. Sheets used were 19 feet in length and the system was installed with vibratory equipment
