Overview: The San Lorenzo River Parkway connects neighborhoods to the Santa Cruz boardwalk and amusement park. It may use an old wooden sidewalk attached to a railroad bridge. A wider sidewalk was needed to avoid pedestrians from unsafely walking on the active railroad tracks. The wider sidewalks allow for bicycle traffic.
