East Midlands Parkway Station Platform - FRP Decking

Creative’s sister company, Redman Composites, teamed up with Birse Rail to provide an FRP solution to expand their rail platforms. They required a maintenance free system that could be installed in days, not weeks. Creative and Redman provided a turn key solution and provided the substructure and deck. The deck and structural profiles were pultruded in the USA, shipped to the UK and fabricated in Redman’s state of the art fabrication facility.

The East Midlands project was designed to allow easier access to the East Midlands Airport, which serves commuters from Nottingham, Derby and Leicester, UK.

Creative’s deck products are lightweight and arrive at the site with an integrated antiskid system, which meets OSHA and ADA requirements. The decking will not rust, rot or spall like traditional materials of construction.
